Homeopathy for babies: How homeopathy helps

In the meantime, homeopathy has become increasingly popular and is being used more and more frequently, especially with babies. Properly dosed and used, homeopathic remedies rarely have side effects and can usually also be administered to infants. We have listed here which homeopathic remedies you can give your baby for which symptoms.

What is the homeopathic dosage for babies?

Homeopathy knows many effective remedies for everyday ailments for your baby. The rule of thumb for the right treatment is: Newborns and infants with acute symptoms should be given two to three globules (beads) in the potency 6X three times a day on the first day of illness, depending on their condition.
Note: An initial worsening of symptoms is not uncommon when using homeopathic remedies. This can be a sign that the drug is working. However, if you are unsure or concerned, it is better not to wait, but to consult a doctor immediately.

Does homeopathy have side effects for your baby?

A prerequisite for an effective effect of homeopathy is the correct use of homeopathic remedies. This means that the right potency and a short application time of a few days are crucial. If possible, several homeopathic remedies should not be used at the same time. They could adversely affect the application. If you stick to these guidelines, there should generally not be any complications during use.

Homeopathy can be very helpful, but…

…You should only treat your baby yourself with homeopathy for short-lived, harmless illnesses. If the symptoms persist and you don’t see an improvement quickly – it’s better to see a doctor! This also applies if your baby’s general condition deteriorates or his fever rises rapidly. Even if you are generally unsure whether treatment with homeopathy is advisable for your baby, you should definitely consult a doctor.

How can homeopathy help your baby?

You can help your baby with many of his ailments with homeopathy. We have listed below which diseases and complaints frequently occur in a baby and how you can use homeopathy to combat them.

Homeopathy for Babies in Delayed Childhood Speech

“Kindspech” is a gloomy name for an actually quite harmless thing. Bad luck doesn’t mean your baby is cursed, bad luck simply refers to the dark coloration of the first bowel movement. This usually occurs 24 to 48 hours after birth. Only then does your baby’s stool have the typical golden yellow color. Sometimes, however, it can happen that the child spech is longer or too long in coming. This could be a sign of a bowel obstruction and you should see your pediatrician immediately. In the meantime, you can use homeopathy on your baby. If there is constipation, the following homeopathic remedies will help:

  • Spastic constipation with colic: Your baby pushes and struggles, nothing happens. It cries out in anger and pain and is restless and sleepless.

  • Dry constipation: Your child’s stool is very dry, they have dry lips.

Homeopathy for babies with flatulence, (three-month) colic

Your baby’s digestive tract has to get used to it in the first months of life, which is why it often suffers from flatulence and abdominal pain. A gentle abdominal massage with essential oils often helps. Unsweetened fennel tea can also help. As a homeopathic remedy, you can also put one or two globules in your baby’s cheek pouch. The following is a list of digestive tract complaints with appropriate homeopathic remedies for your baby:

  • Digestive disorders: general complaints caused by a change in diet, supplementary feeding or weaning.
Medium: Okoubaka D2* (in acute cases every 1-2 hours, after one day every 3-6 hours)

Medium: Chamomilla D12* (in acute cases every 1-2 hours, after one day every 3-6 hours)
