Great Christmas decorations: making starry skies with children
This starry sky craft idea is great for your little ones. You can let off steam with the colors to your heart’s content and scratch great patterns later!
Age: from 2 years
What you need: white paper, colored wax crayons, something to scratch (e.g. a toothpick, etc.)
Craft instructions for the starry sky
- Your child can completely color a sheet of paper with the colored wax crayons (except black). It should use as many different colors as possible and only paint small pieces of paper with one color. No more white should shimmer through. Maybe you can help your child with the fine work.
- When everything has been colored in, your child now paints over everything with the black wax crayon so that the bright colors are completely painted over. Your child should press as hard as possible so that everything turns nice and black.
- Now you help your child to scratch stars into the black layer. This will reveal the colorful layer underneath and the stars will shine colorfully through the black!
