14 things that will enrich your pregnancy immensely
During pregnancy, there are essentially two things that are most important: you and your baby. Pregnancy is an exciting time, and not just with your first child. In order to make this an unforgettable time, you must not do without a few things.
On average, it takes almost 40 weeks from conception to delivery. That sounds pretty long, but it goes by faster than expected. You definitely can’t wait until your little darling is finally born. With our suggestions, you can use the months perfectly for beautiful and important things during pregnancy.
1. “Enjoy” or “Give in to your cravings.”
The list of “forbidden” foods is long. You make every effort to avoid them to prevent possible germ infection. In addition, your body and therefore also your baby now have to be supplied with vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Does your appetite call for something unhealthy? Let’s go! Give in to your cravings too. And without a bad conscience after feasting!
2. Spend hours in the baby department
Oh yes, there are so many nice things for the child but unfortunately the contents of the wallet don’t always play along. If you still feel like browsing the city for baby things, then don’t let that stop you. As a mother, you ultimately decide what your child will wear and what things you need for the baby. Besides, a little inspiration never hurt 😉 Who knows, maybe you’ll get something from the wish list for the birth of your child.
3. Have a good time
Whether it’s a manicure, pedicure, gentle massage or a visit to a concert (better only with gentle sounds) – take days in the week specifically for yourself and your well-being. With all the planning around your dream child, you probably forget to take care of yourself from time to time. So grab your calendar and make an appointment with yourself.
4. Celebrate your beautiful baby bump
Photos of the baby bump? bring it on! With a professional photo shoot you can put yourself and your stomach in the limelight. Painting the baby bump with funny motifs is also popular. In a few years, when you pick up these photos, you will have a smile on your face and remember this special time with your baby.
5. Stroll at a baby flea market
Little treasures are waiting for you here! At the flea market you have a wide range of used baby and children’s things. Clothing and toys are mostly on offer, but valuables such as retro prams are also looking for new owners. There is probably also a baby flea market in your city.
6. Live an intensive partnership
In the first time after the birth of your child, you will initially only have eyes for your little darling. For this reason, physical affection for your partner can become a minor matter in the first few weeks. However, physical closeness is very important for the partnership and has been proven to make us happier. If you feel like it, sex during pregnancy is expressly desired.
7. Keep a pregnancy diary
Writing a diary? How come? There are several reasons for this: On the one hand, writing it down is a good way to become more aware of situations and to process what happened during the day. On the other hand, the diary is a nice thing to read about after the birth of your child, how things went during your pregnancy. What questions were on your mind and how were you physically?
8. One last vacation before the birth
Some couples have the feeling that they have to do countless things before the birth because there is no time for it afterwards. That’s only partly true, because it depends on what you can make possible and what you are even willing to do. Some make a long-distance trip with a baby, for others this is out of the question. A holiday for two for the time being is always a nice idea.
9. Furnish the children’s room
You will probably want to have your child close to you at all times after the birth, so that a separate children’s room is not even needed. Nevertheless, it gives you a cozy feeling and increases the anticipation of your baby when your new roommate has a cute children’s room at their disposal.
10. Meeting old friends
Depending on the size of your circle of friends, you probably have a few “old” friends who you only like to meet a few times a year for various reasons. Unfortunately, we don’t keep an eye on this group all the time. Still, it’s worth meeting her during pregnancy. Their joy is certainly huge when they see your baby bump. We all like to experience special events.
11. Organizational matters must not be missing
Find a hospital, find a midwife, register for a childbirth course, apply for parental and child benefit – there are many things that are now on your to-do list. Yes, that’s not much fun, but it’s hugely important. Prioritize the tasks, then it will be easier for you and you will save yourself trouble.
12. I pack into my box and put in…
What is currently satisfying your cravings? Keep the empty, clean packaging and keep it in a nice box. In a souvenir box you can collect everything that accompanied you during your pregnancy. This can be the ticket to the swimming pool or, for example, a photo of your best friend, who has always taken care of you. Opening the box years later after the birth of your child can give you a real boost of happiness.
13. …and we call you…
A must but not an easy task: finding the perfect name for your child. Maybe you’re one of those people who have known since their youth what they want to name their child, or you just can’t decide between the thousands of existing first names. With a little patience you will find the right one.
14. Be happy like you’ve never been happy before!
Yes, you read that right! During pregnancy you should of course look forward to your baby. You will make a great team in the future and experience a lot of wonderful moments.
