Fishing game – how it works
First, the aquarium, fishing rods and fish have to be made together. To do this, cut four squares (20 x 20 cm) out of sturdy cardboard. You connect these with strong adhesive tape so that an opaque “aquarium” is created. Meanwhile, the children draw 15 to 20 colorful fish in different colors and sizes and a tin can or an old boot on cardboard. After everything is cut out, the back can be painted. To make the “aquarium” more beautiful for the fish, the children draw an underwater landscape on paper that is glued to the outside of the aquarium.
Now fishing rods are needed: To do this, the children attach a piece of string to a stick and glue a magnet to the end of the string. A paper clip is attached to each fish so that they can bite.
Now it can start! First, fish and tin can or boots are placed in the aquarium. Now the children take turns trying to catch the fish without looking into the aquarium. If the aquarium is fished empty, the fish are counted. Fishing tin can or boots gives a minus point. Whoever has caught the most fish is appointed the master fisherman and can exchange their fish for gummy bears.
