Mind games: what is missing?
This game challenges your child’s memory. Because it not only has the task of naming objects, but also of recognizing what has been stolen. Of course, “What’s missing” can also be played with several children.
Age: from 3 years
Number: at least 2 players
What you need: A few household items or toys. Start with 3 items. The older your child gets, the more objects you can use.
What is missing? Thats how it works
First you put all the objects face up in front of your child. Now it has the task of telling you which objects these are and clearly naming them. In this way, it learns the individual terms in a playful way and can remember them better. Your child’s memory is required for the next step. You now cover a cloth over all objects and one of your hands. Then you steal one of the items. As soon as you lift the cloth again, it is up to your child to tell you which item is missing. Did it take good care?
