Dear Mama,
I’ve been growing into a little bit more of a human being every day for months now. Believe me, I’m trying really hard because I know how happy you are when you see how big I’ve gotten on the ultrasound.
Oh mom, how good I feel in your belly. It’s so nice and warm and cozy, nothing can happen to me here.
Even though I’ve never seen you, I feel like I know you well. I love your laugh and I feel your smile when you think of me and put your hand on your stomach. I hear your voice softly speaking over me. You worry a lot and you want me to be okay. I am quite sure that we will make it.
In the evening I notice how tired you are from the tiring day. And as soon as you turn on the beautiful melody of the music box, I too can relax. Sometimes the desire to finally be able to lie in your arms is so great that I have to show you. Then I kick my stomach with my little feet and I’m happy if you enthusiastically show my kicks to your loved ones.
Luckily it won’t be long now. Just a few more months and then the big day will come. I’ll be so excited weeks in advance that I’ll roll over and do a headstand to be ready when labor begins. When the time comes, I will hurry, because there is nothing I want more than to finally lie in your arms and spend my life with you.
