Pizza Margherita recipe for children’s birthday parties
The delicious Pizza Margherita makes the children’s birthday party a complete success. A touch of Italy will waft through the hallways. It’s even more fun if you let all the kids help with the preparation.
You need for Pizza Margherita:
- 1/2 cube yeast (20g)
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 300g flour
- 300g pizza tomatoes (tetra pack or can)
- Pepper salt
- 2-3 sprigs of fresh herbs (e.g. thyme, oregano or basil)
- 250g mozzarella
Preparation of the Pizza Margherita
First you crumble the yeast and mix it with 125ml lukewarm water. Then you can put the yeast in a bowl together with the flour, 1 teaspoon of salt and the olive oil and knead into a smooth dough. The dough must then rest covered for about 45 minutes until it has doubled in size.
Meanwhile you can preheat the oven to 220 degrees. After the resting time, the dough must be kneaded well again before you can finally roll it out in a rectangle on baking paper. Then it fits perfectly with the paper on a baking sheet.
Now it’s time for the herbs. Wash and pat dry before chopping. Then you can mix the pizza tomatoes with the herbs, spread them over the dough and season with salt and pepper. Slice the mozzarella before spreading it evenly over the pizza. Your masterpiece only has to bake for 20 minutes in the oven (middle, 200 degrees fan oven). Of course you can top this pizza with any ingredients. This is especially fun for the kids at the birthday party.
