Is Thanksgiving After Communion Really Necessary?

After communion, a written acknowledgment is the usual way of thanking guests. With the first participation in the Lord’s Supper during Mass, your child was accepted into the Catholic community of faith. With a written thank you after communion, your child can now show that they are aware of this role. It is important not only to thank the relatives who accompanied your child on this special day in an appropriate way for their presence, but also for the gifts.

Your child can also walk around during the celebration and verbally thank everyone present for coming and for the gifts. But due to the hustle and bustle at the family celebration, it quickly happened that she lost track. With a written thank you after communion you can avoid this stress for your child and also make sure that nobody is forgotten.

Who Should Receive Thanksgiving After Communion?

You can design and send the thanksgiving with your child in the weeks after communion. The following people should receive thanksgiving after communion:

• Everyone who helped with the preparations
• Anyone who wrote congratulations

Post-Communion thanks should be sent about two to three weeks after the celebration. Your child can also give the card to guests or well-wishers who live nearby or put it in the mailbox.
