Who wants to see hard-working craftsmen?: Text and sheet music
This folksy nursery rhyme is especially fun when sung in a larger group. The individual activities can be represented well in pantomime.
Who wants to see hard-working craftsmen?
1st – 9th If you want to see hard-working craftsmen, you
have to go to us children.
1. Brick by brick, brick by brick,
the cottage will be ready soon.
2. Oh how nice, oh how nice,
the glazier inserts the panes.
3. Immerse yourself, immerse yourself,
the painter paints the walls finely.
4. Hiss, hiss, hiss, hiss, hiss, hiss,
the carpenter planes the table smooth.
5. Poch, poch, poch, poch, poch, poch,
the cobbler closes the hole.
6. Stitch, stitch, stitch, stitch, stitch, stitch,
the tailor sews a dress for me.
7. Stir in, stir in,
the cake will be ready soon.
8. Trapp, trapp in, trapp, trapp in,
now we’re going home from work.
9. Hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop,
now everyone gallops.
