Guessing games: puzzles with matches

A great guessing game for 3 to 4 children aged 5 and over. The children have to guess how many matches are in their hands.

Age: from 5 years

Number: 3 to 4 players

What you need: 3 matches for each child

Puzzles with matches – this is how it works

The children sit around a table. Each child gets 3 matches, which the children then hide under the table in one hand. The children take one, two or three matches with their “play hand”, and hide the remaining matches in their hands under the table. Now each child guesses how many matches are in the hands on the table. Each number may only be mentioned once. After all the children have guessed the numbers, the children open their hands and count how many matches there actually are. The child who guesses correctly gets a match from every other child as a loot. The game ends when a child runs out of matches. The child with the most matches wins.
