Halloween Recipes for Kids: Simply Spooky

With a great buffet or smart dishes you can make a good impression at a Halloween party. These Halloween recipes are easy to make and sure to turn heads with little Halloween monsters.

A spooky Halloween dinner is just as much a part of a successful Halloween party as are scary costumes . We’ve put together delicious Halloween recipes that are easy to follow but still have a big impact.

Halloween punch recipe

You need:

  • 1 liter of currant juice
  • 1 liter of apple juice
  • 2 liters of mineral water
  • 1 can of peaches
  • 5 tsp sugar

This is one of the particularly easy Halloween recipes. Mix blackcurrant juice, apple juice and mineral water in a bowl. Add the sugar and peaches and chill the punch. A “dead hand” in the bowl not only has a cooling effect, it is also guaranteed to make your little guests squeal. Alternatively, you can of course also use grape juice or other red juices for the bloody refreshment.

Creepy mummies

You need:

  • “Pulky” cheese sausages (alternatively, other sausages are also possible)
  • finished strudel or puff pastry
  • kidney beans
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup

Let the cheese sausages soak in hot water for a few minutes. During this time, cut the strudel or puff pastry into long, thin strips. Take the sausages out of the water and pat them dry. Now bandage the sausages with the strips of dough to the mummy. However, leave a slit on one end of the sausage for the “eyes”. For this, put two kidney beans in each sausage. Bake the mummies in a preheated oven at 220°C. When the dough has taken on some color, the mummies are done. You can use ketchup or mustard as a dip. You can also mix both and refine with onions and curry.

Eerie Eyeballs

You need:

  • Small mozzarella balls
  • stuffed olives (e.g. with paprika or almonds)

You can serve eyeballs as an accompaniment to the mummies or as a starter. Halve the olives and place them in the mozzarella balls with the filling facing up .

Pumpkin Soup for Halloween

You need:

  • pumpkin flesh
  • potatoes
  • Onion
  • soup greens
  • Spices/Ingredients of your choice

Home-carved Halloween pumpkins are part of your decoration? Then you also have the basis for a pumpkin soup: pumpkin meat. Sauté an onion for the pumpkin soup . Add the pumpkin flesh , the diced potatoes and the greens . Fill the mixture with water and let it simmer until everything is soft. The soup is then pureed and seasoned. A pumpkin soup can be refined with coconut milk, ginger and chili, for example . Cabanossi or other sausages are well suited as a spicy ingredient.

We wish you a lot of fun trying out these Halloween recipes and many “terrible” reactions.
