Modeling clay magnets: handicrafts for children aged 3 and over
You can also make your own cute magnets for the fridge door. How about a fish?
Age: from 3 years
What you need: Different colored oven-hardening modeling clay (e.g. white, blue, black, yellow, red, orange), rolling pin, pointed object, magnet, plastic knife, brush, all-purpose glue
Instructions for making magnets from plasticine
- First you roll out a piece of blue modeling clay with the rolling pin. Of course, your child can also press the modeling clay flat with their fingers.
- Draw a fish on the flat modeling clay.
- Cut out the outline of the fish with the plastic knife and decorate it with dots.
- Now your child can form a small white ball and an even smaller black ball out of the modeling clay. The balls serve as eyes for the fish. Glue first the white and then the black ball to the head of the fish.
- Form balls of different colors and press them firmly on the body of the fish.
- Now put the finished molds in the oven and bake them according to the instructions on the packet.
- Finally, glue the magnet to the back.
