Combination stroller, jogger or buggy?
Whether it’s a pram, jogger, buggy or shopper, there are many criteria that have to be considered. We will give you a decision-making aid and show you the small and large differences between the various models.
combi stroller
As the name suggests, the combi stroller combines the different stroller models regardless of age. In this stroller, babies are driven lying down until they can sit up. Up to an age of at least nine months, babies should be pushed lying down so as not to put too much strain on the spine. Once your child has reached the “sitting stage”, the stroller can be converted so that your child is positioned against the running direction.
jogger
The jogger belongs to the sports car category and is particularly suitable for enterprising and sporty parents. With its three wheels, it is a real “off-road vehicle” and is also ideal for off-road use. It is easy to steer and runs very smoothly even at higher speeds on asphalt. Many Jogger models can be converted to the Shop’n Drive System with a compatible car seat and can therefore also be used as a station wagon. However, in some cases, the jogger can only be used for babies from nine months. Therefore, pay particular attention to the manufacturer’s information.
buggy
The buggy is the smallest model among the prams. It can be folded and stowed easily and quickly. Therefore, the buggy is also often used as a shopping companion. The seat is usually adjustable, but does not offer a lying position, so the buggy is only suitable for babies from ten months. Its size makes it ideal for shopping trips or travel. There are also special twin buggies for siblings.
shoppers
The shopper is obviously the model for the shopping queens among mothers. It offers plenty of storage space and is therefore perfect for daily “city cruising”. Thanks to four wheels, the trolley is particularly stable and still very manoeuvrable. Most shopper models can be converted into the Shop’n Drive system with a movable car seat, making them perfect as station wagons.
Sibling Stroller
are you having twins Or your child can’t cover long distances yet, but the sibling is already on the way? There are so-called twin or sibling strollers. Babies sit next to each other or behind each other in the stroller. If the children sit one behind the other, they don’t disturb each other when, for example, one of them is sleeping. However, if the children are sitting next to each other, you will have a better view of both of them. However, you don’t always fit through all doors this way.
Both variants have advantages and disadvantages. The sibling stroller is classic and proven above all because you have both children under control and neither can escape so easily. When buying a sibling stroller, however, you should first think carefully about what is most suitable for your family, because there are many different models.
If you want to be particularly manoeuvrable, you should buy a model in which your children can sit one behind the other, as the vehicle is much narrower and fits better through the narrow aisles of a supermarket. Of course, sitting one behind the other hinders the sociability of the children and especially as a small person you want to be entertained while driving. If you are more concerned that the two children can engage with each other, you should buy a wagon in which the children can explore the world traveled through either side by side or across from each other.
