Handicraft instructions for filter bag batik
- Get regular filter bags or small round filter papers at a grocery store. Unfortunately, large round filter papers are only available in catering stores. With a bit of luck, your child might get a pair of large round coffee filters in a restaurant or café.
- This painting technique enables particularly beautiful color effects: because the paper is very absorbent, the watercolors flow beautifully into one another and run. It is important to use a lot of water when painting or to brush the filter bags completely with water beforehand.
- Dab the painted filter bags with paper towels and lay them out to dry.
- Finally, press the dry filter paper between books or heavy objects.
- Painted filter papers are ideal for small handicrafts. How about a butterfly , for example ?
