In the 2nd month of pregnancy (5th to 8th week of pregnancy), the body now adjusts to the pregnancy.
- In the sixth week , the embyro is about 6 mm long.
- Its limbs (buds) have already developed, but are not yet clearly recognizable.
- Even the face is only a shadow, his nose, mouth and tongue are not yet visible.
- His heart is already starting to beat – you can see that on the ultrasound image towards the end of the eighth week .
- The spine, inner ear, gastrointestinal tract, muscles, bones and blood vessels have also evolved.
- Your baby produces its own blood and is completely surrounded by amniotic fluid in an amniotic sac.
- The amniotic fluid protects your child from adhering to the amniotic sac and absorbs shock.
