Airplane: handicrafts with children aged 4 and over
Does everyone have their passports and boarding passes with them? Owning your own plane isn’t expensive at all, provided it’s made out of kitchen paper rolls, egg carton, and cardboard.
Age: from 4 years
What you need: kitchen paper roll, egg carton, cardboard, yellow, green, white and black poster paint, felt-tip pen, several brushes, scissors
Instructions for making an airplane
- Help your child draw the wings and tail fins of the plane on the cardboard.
- Your child can now use a felt pen to mark the places on the paper roll where the wings and tail fins are to be inserted.
- Prick these spots with the pointed side of the scissors and cut into them.
- Then your child puts the wings and the tail fins in the corresponding slots.
- Cut out one of the compartments neatly from the egg carton.
- You put this piece of egg carton in the front of the cardboard tube and possibly fix it with adhesive tape.
- Paint the plane yellow and decorate it with green.
- Your child can paint the individual windows in black and white.
- Now your child can fly around the room with his colorful airplane.
