General information about insect bites, tick bites and jellyfish

Small injuries, insect bites, are provoked by stings or bites of various insects. Irritants or toxins get into the wound. Most mosquito bites are harmless. The severe itching can only be annoying. Bee or wasp stings, on the other hand, are very painful for your child and it is important that you react directly and pull the bee sting out of the wound. You can find out how this works and what you should consider in the event of insect bites in our  First Aid Special .

If your child likes to play outside, a tick bite can happen. Unfortunately, these small parasites are not entirely harmless. Find out more about tick bites and their treatment in our  first aid special .

If your child comes into contact with a jellyfish while on holiday, the result can be burning pain, reddening of the skin and itchy rashes. The injury must be treated immediately! In addition, you can give your child Urtica urens (see below) for relief.
