Mashed Potato Casserole for Toddlers
The mashed potatoes casserole is easy to prepare and still very nutritious. Your toddler and you will certainly taste good.

What goes into the mashed potatoes casserole?
- 550 g floury potatoes
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 onions
- 500 grams of mushrooms
- 1 tsp marjoram
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 pinch nutmeg

- 125 g double cream cheese with herbs
- 3 sprigs of parsley
preparation
First you wash the potatoes and cook them for about 30 minutes. After draining the water, press the potatoes through a potato ricer and place in a bowl. Put the butter in a pan and heat it up. Peel and dice the onions and then add them. You also add the mushrooms after you have cleaned and sliced them.
You steam the whole thing for about 5 minutes and add it to the potato mixture. Mix the ingredients together with the marjoram, salt and nutmeg. In the meantime you can already butter the casserole dish. Then you can add the potato mixture and smooth it out and distribute the cream cheese in flakes on top. In the preheated oven, the mashed potatoes take 25 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius or gas mark 3. Finally, sprinkle the finely chopped parsley on top.
